Google Fiber: Exploring new cities

Google (GOOG) is keeping the pressure on Comcast (CMCSA) and AT&T by identifying 34 new cities in 9 metropolitan areas to expand Google Fiber. Google Fiber offers download speeds up to 1 gigabit and is roughly 100 times faster than normal broadband speeds.  Now, Google is raising the stakes and looking to expand its market to potentially 34 new cities.....

Google buys security startup SlickLogin

The global internet giant Google is acquiring SlickLogin, an Israeli developer of sound-based password alternative, in an "acqui-hiring deal", which means SlickLogin's staff and knowledge will be integrated into Google, SlickLogin confirmed the deal on its website Sunday.
