Believe it or not, Babies Can Sense Fairness, Altruism, says research


Babies know more than you think they do, including what’s fair and what’s not.
Experts say babies as young as 15 months old understand fairness and have a sense of altruism.
Researchers at the University of Washington showed nearly 50 babies two videos.
The first showed two people receiving an equal amount of crackers. The second showed one person receiving significantly more crackers than the other.
They found the most babies were surprised to see one person getting more food than another – a sign they are expecting fair distribution
Babies watched videos of crackers and milk being shared out. Prof Sommerville said: “The infants expected an equal and fair distribution, and they were surprised to see.............
