The
most talked about handset at this year’s Mobile World Congress event in
Barcelona was undoubtedly the Nokia 808 PureView. This handset even
managed to overshadow the quad-core beasts that rolled out from stables
such as HTC and LG making one believe that camera optics can possibly
dethrone speedy processors. At the time of the unveiling at MWC, Jo
Harlow, Executive Vice President of Nokia Smart Devices, said, “Nokia
PureView imaging technology sets a new industry standard by whatever
measure you us. People will inevitably focus on the 41 megapixel sensor,
but the real quantum leap is how the pixels are used to deliver
breath-taking image quality at any resolution and the freedom it
provides to choose the story you want to tell.” However,
that is not the only aspect of this handset people are focusing on.
Another point of concern for some is that it runs on a Symbian operating
system as opposed to the Windows Phone platform that is being used by
