Man finds long-lost mother using Google Earth

Back in 1986, Saroo Brierley fell asleep on a train in India and woke up 14 hours later in Calcutta, more than 700 miles from home.
The youngster couldn’t find his way back as he could not read or write, and did not know the name of his home town.
He took to begging on the streets, and was later adopted by a family in Tasmania, Australia.
Saroo assumed he would never see his birth family again. But by navigating through the towns of central India on the satellite imaging service, he started to recognise landmarks from his early childhood and found his way back “home” - from his computer 6,000 miles away................
