Android at CES 2012: What can we expect to see?

Google has now clearly stated that the 'Holo' theme will be mandatory on all Ice Cream Sandwich devices, especially if the users would need access to Google's range of apps, including the Android Market.Just like its recent makeovers, this step is purportedly aimed at a consistency in the user interface. It will help app developers with a standard theme, irrespective of the device or manufacturer. Now, this doesn’t mean that manufactures can’t customize their devices based on this newest flavor of the Android OS. Google has made provisions for customization by developers and manufactures to build their own themes for the devices, like the TouchWiz and Sense.
An app designer has the liberty to choose from the Holo theme or the theme offered by the manufacturer. Holo Theme brings UI widgets and design elements that developers can utilize to craft apps. Developers can use Android’s resource system and define themes for apps running on............
