How to change your facebook background pictures and colors

When you feel like to get more adventurous with your Facebook page and try to personalize the default page, then you try to search in the options area. Unfortunately, there is not an option to do that. We try to figure out that option although it is quite limited. You can still change the default page, but limited to your eyes only. Others will not be able to see the change in the default page. You can follow the steps below to make changes in your colour scheme or graphic layout of the pages in your Facebook.

  • Browser Plugin : Yontoo layers

Search in PageRage for browser plugin Yontoo Layers that you can use to change the graphic layouts in your Facebook pages. The changes can be applied to either your profile only or the whole pages. However, keep in mind that changes can only be seen by you. Internet Explorer and Firefox can be used with PageRage. Bear in mind that when you start to download the plugin, your other browser windows will be closed without your permission. After you add the browser and install it, you can search in PageRage website and try their updated graphic layouts. After you find the your favourite style, then you can proceed to whether you will apply to your profile only or the whole pages. Also, choose Select This Layout on the bottom right and then save your option.

  • Auto-Colorizer for Facebook Greasemonkey Script

If you need to change the colour in your Facebook pages, you can try Greasemonkey with your standard Firefox browser. Then choose Auto-Colorizer for Facebook script. Please note again that these changes only can be seen by you. Although it is simple, but it can improves the look in your Facebook page.

  • Stylish Addon For Firefox / Stylish Addon for Chrome

This option works well with Firefox and Chrome. This addon allow to be applied on Google, Orkut, YouTube and Facebook. Just install the add-on and you can start choose your own styles. If you already have Greasemonkey, then you do not need to install this add-on. Please keep in mind that some of the styles may be outdated. If you feel like to get more adventurous, you can use Stylish and play with it to create your preferable skin. You can add in your Firefox for Stylish icon . GO to the Customize window, then find Write new style and click on it. If you need to know the code, please go to userstyles.org to look for the code.

Other risky option

There are two other options to personalize your Facebook that we do not suggest to try. Those are Facebook Expressions and Chameleon Tom. Those two are quite risky although if you use Chameleon Tom, other Facebook users in your group can see your personalize Facebook page. Problem is when you try to download Chameleon Tom, you may trigger adware or virus warning. Facebook itself also ban Facebook Expression

summary

The above options for personalizing your Facebook pages are quite easy although you will be the one who will enjoy with the changes. It may be a good suggestion for the Facebook developer to add on their option so that the user can have the freedom to change the layout.
