Google+ seeing a traffic slump


It has been almost a month since Google+ launched, and in such a short amount of time they already managed to sign up more than ten million users and twenty million visitors. Now the problem for them is not getting users to sign up, but maintaining loyalty. Earlier this week, Google+ saw a major decrease in their user base. Their numbers dropped from 1.89 million users in the previous week, to 1.79 million this week. CNET reports that the slump in traffic has been a good 10 percent and is decreasing week by week.

Google+ started with a bang as a worthy Facebook competitor, triggering questions of shifting loyalties. PCWorld reports that Google+ was the 42nd most visited social networking site in the United States last month, though at first entry to their site was on an ‘invite only’ basis.
