ASUS unveils netbook


All laptop computers are a compromise between power and size: the smaller the laptop, the less power it will have. So we wouldn’t expect a netbook to outperform larger, bulkier laptops, or desktop computers.

That said, the ASUS Eee PC 1015PEM is one of the best performing netbooks we tested. Equipped with Intel’s dual-core Atom N550 processor, it achieved an overall performance score of 0.21 in our tests, coming joint first with all the other models that have this processor installed. Its responsiveness was also high, with a score of 0.38, taking it very close to the top.
