New generation plastic first high-efficiency OLEDs developed

Scientists at the University of Toronto claim to have discovered a method to manufacture flexible OLEDs that could lead the way to more durable and "impact-resistant" displays.
OLEDs provide high-contrast and low-energy displays that are rapidly becoming the dominant technology for advanced electronic screens. They are already used in some cell phone and other smaller-scale applications.
