New iPad Jailbroken on Launch Day

Within a matter of hours, three methods of jailbreaking the new iPad were unveiled in record time. Only a matter of hours after the release of the new iPad, declarations of successful first steps in jailbreaking it were already sounding off. Fortunately for the new owners of the new iPad, three methods of jailbreaking have cropped up, and now it’s only a matter of time before a downloadable jailbreak is available to the public.
The first to claim was Musclenerd, a member of the iPhone Dev Team (unaffiliated with Apple), who tweeted, “jailbroken iPad3: http://twitpic.com/8×48rt http://twitpic.com/8×48xg (Just a first step, still lots of work to do! No ETA!)”  and published a screenshot of root access to the new iPad and the fruit of his labor — his tablet running the Cydia Store. Note the bottom left hand corner where it states iPad 3, iOS 5.1 and Cydia 1.1.5..............
