3D buildings in Google Earth launching Q4 2012

Google Maps has made a bundle of announcements today and it looks as though it is continuing to put mobile first with its latest enhancements.

Learn how to make 3D models of buildings around the world for Google Earth. Position building blocks on top of aerial images to quickly create realistic looking buildings. Then save your buildings to the 3D Warehouse for inclusion in Google Earth. This online tool is free and easy to use.
Google Earth will now provide 3D models of entire metropolitan areas on mobile devices. It sounds cool, but Nokia of course provided its maps in 3D pretty early on............
